Somebody Didn't Get the Rule Book

Julius Schwartz, in his autobiography, Man of Two Worlds, laid down Rule #1 for being a successful editor in the Silver Age:

If you don't want to get in trouble:

1. Never call a character CLINT
2. Never use the verb FLICK
3. And always avoid using the contraction WHO'RE

A slipup in the lettering can end your career faster than Clint can flick his Bic.

From Little Dot, Dotland #40 (June 1969):

Definitely flirting with disaster.
